Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you have the drive to nurture, support and empower young people to overcome personal challenges and achieve success?

Lancashire Youth Challenge (LYC) is seeking dedicated volunteers like you to join our mission of support, encouragement, inspiration, and empowerment for local young people.

Why Volunteer with LYC?

  • Be a Mentor: Provide guidance and support to young people who are facing challenges and help create positive change in their lives.

How You Can Help

  • Workshops and Activities: Support our practitioners to deliver participatory activities in schools and community settings
  • Event Support: Assist in planning and delivering community events that engage and inspire young people.
  • Fundraising and Outreach: Support our charity in raising awareness of our work and help to secure funds to sustain our work.
  • Trustee membership: Support the strategic growth and development of our charity

Who are we looking for?

  • Individuals who are empathetic, compassionate and committed to supporting and empowering young people.
  • Those who may have lived experience of the challenges young people face.
  • Individuals who can donate a few hours per week on a sustained and consistent basis
  • Anyone ready to make a positive difference in the lives of young people

'Lancashire Youth Challenge have helped me in so many ways. I chose to become a volunteer as my time as a participant came to an end and I wanted to do my bit to give back in any way I can. It is such a privilege to be able to mentor the young people and work alongside such an amazing and skilled team that LYC has. I want to share my lived experience going through the programme myself and trying to make a positive impact in someone's life no matter how big or small.'
