I served in the Royal Air Force for 9 years as a hospital laboratory technician. 1976-1985.

I then took over the running of the family newsagents business and ran it with my wife until 2023 when we closed it down and converted the premises into living accommodation for ourselves. 1985-2023.

I started as a Bikeability instructor with Go Velo in 2013 after qualifying as a cycling coach and ride leader with British Cycling in 2010.

I am a member of Rotary International having joined in 1992.

I am on the board of directors of a mutual ‘insurance” company related to the retail trade since 2005.

I have worked with LYC for the last few years on cycling projects and am keen to be involved with excellent work that the trust does.
