I am completing a 15-month Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship, working jointly with Lancashire Youth Challenge and Lancaster Boys & Girls Club. The apprenticeship allows me to gain hands-on experience in youth work, sport, and community engagement while supporting two organisations that make a real difference to young people’s lives.
My journey with LYC began as a participant, where I experienced first-hand the positive impact of their programmes — building my confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. Now, as an Apprentice Community Activator Coach, I’m proud to help deliver the very same sessions that once inspired me.
I lead and assist with a range of sports and wellbeing activities, including RESTORE EFC, which promotes both physical health and emotional wellbeing. At the Lancaster Boys & Girls Club, I run regular football and basketball sessions, encouraging teamwork, participation, and fun, while also creating and introducing plenty of new games and challenges to keep things fresh and engaging.
Lancashire Youth Challenge (LYC) is seeking dedicated volunteers like you to join our mission of support, encouragement, inspiration, and empowerment for local young people.
